All classes take place at the Madison Circus Space, 2082 Winnebago St, Madison, WI unless otherwise noted.
Beginning/Intermediate Youth Wheel
Tuesdays 5-6pm
May series 5/6, 5/20, 5/27, and 6/3 (skip 5/13).
4 week series $100; drop-in $30/class.
Students will work in groups, pairs, and individually to learn new skills, practice fundamentals, and become familiar with the wheel. We’ll work on body awareness and balance while connecting and collaborating with others. We’ll introduce skills in straight-line, spiral, and vault. Class structure will vary by week but will typically include check-in, warm-up, skills, and free time. Ages 6 and up.

Intermediate/Advanced Youth Wheel
Wednesdays 5-6pm
May series 5/7, 5/21, 5/28, and 6/4 (skip 5/14).
4 week series $100; drop-in $30/class.
For youth students who have taken beginner wheel classes and have a comfortable sit-rock, continuing wheel will continue to grow on skills in straight-line, spiral, and vault. Class structure will vary by week but will typically include check-in, warm-up, skills, and free time. Drop-ins welcome; we’ll learn and play with new things each week while continuing to reinforce fundamentals. Ages 6 and up.

Beginning Youth Trapeze
Wednesdays 6-7pm
May series 5/7, 5/21, 5/28, and 6/4 (skip 5/14).
4 week series $100; drop-in $30/class with instructor approval.
Build a foundation of skills and good habits of movement on the static (double-point) trapeze. Students will get an introduction on how to navigate the trapeze bar and ropes, balance in sitting and standing poses, place the bar correctly in the hip fold, block with various body parts, mount the trapeze, grip the bar with the knee pits, and more. We’ll work on body awareness, strength, and balance while connecting and collaborating with others. Class structure will vary by week but will typically include check-in, warm-up, skills, conditioning, and cool down. Ages 6 and up.
Prerequisites: must be able to do at least three controlled pull-up negatives (slow lowers) and invert independently (foot tagging is okay).

Intermediate Youth Trapeze
Tuesdays 6-7pm
May series 5/6, 5/20, 5/27, and 6/3 (skip 5/13).
4 week series $120; drop-in $30/class with instructor approval.
Prerequisites: must be able to do one pull-up, invert independently from a full-body hang, knee hang independently, and be comfortable standing on the trapeze bar at shoulder height.
Intermediate trapeze class will focus on more dynamic movements and combinations of skills. We will continue to work on strength and balance, and may incorporate some partner moves.
