Novel Motion Circus

Engaging circus performances that embed practices from next generation science standards and social emotional competencies into your events. Our performances invite educators to come on stage to demonstrate a growth mindset and continued learning, and we invite students on stage to demonstrate experimental set ups.

Youth Circus Programming

Learn German wheel, trapeze, or juggling from instructors with over 10 years of practice training and over 5 years of experience teaching.

Family Circus Programming

Learn skills with your whole family (or at least those brave enough to do it with you).
Juggling is more fun with partners, and daring feats are more comfortable when you know what's gone into learning them.
Meet Becky
Becky trained as a German wheel coach through the USA Wheel Gymnastics Federation. She also completed aerial teacher training through the Born to Fly curriculum. She has worked for Head Over Wheels Circus teaching and performing German wheel for several years, and she is an instructor with Flying Trapeze Madison. Becky has performed and competed in various shows and events, including Cirque du Sylvee in 2019, the 2019 MadFest Juggling Extravaganza, and the 2018 Wheel Gymnastics World Championship in Switzerland. Becky is a member of the Madison Circus Space, where she teaches youth and adult classes, produces and performs in shows, and trains in a variety of disciplines including German wheel, trapeze, partner acrobatics, and juggling. Becky co-created Novel Motion Circus in 2024.
Meet Alex

Alex trained as an instructor through the International Slackline Association and as a German Wheel coach through the USA Wheel Gymnastics Federation. He has performed with the Madison Area Jugglers at the 2024 MadFest Juggling Extravaganza. Alex is a member of the Madison Circus Space, where he has produced and performed in dozens of shows, and where he regularly practices slackline, German wheel, juggling, partner acrobatics, and more. He has also worked as a science teacher at a local high school, where he uses the joy and creativity of circus arts as a learning tool. Alex co-created Novel Motion Circus in 2024.
What is Novel Motion Circus?

Alex and Becky have trained together for years at the Madison Circus Space in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2024, the pair started Novel Motion Circus with the dream of bringing circus arts to kids all over the country. They offer a unique perspective, bringing social-emotional learning and science education to schools through circus. They believe that circus and play can inspire our young audiences to achieve new goals through practice, communication, and collaboration.
